The Orlons - The Conservative / The Conservative

Description
“The Conservative” appears on both sides of this 1960 Cameo single, giving the title an unusual double presence. The Orlons bring a vocal-group sensibility to a meeting point of rhythm and blues, soul, and pop, where close-knit voices and a memorable refrain have long offered a lively way to tell a story. The song’s paired appearance invites a second look at the same title without asking us to imagine a different track on the reverse. Issued as Cameo C-231, this 7-inch release sits in the era’s spirited world of popular vocal music, where a song could make its mark through the character of the group singing it.
