The Rascals - People Got To Be Free / My World

Description
The Rascals open with “People Got To Be Free,” a song whose title carries the plainspoken hope at the heart of soul: music that can turn a call for human connection into something shared and singable. Pop rock gives that message a broad welcome, while soul’s tradition of putting feeling at the center lends it warmth and purpose. The group’s name also appears on “My World,” a title that brings the story back to the intimate scale of one person’s own place in the wider world. Atlantic’s 45-2537 holds those two perspectives together, with the public plea and private point of view both rooted in song.
