The Skids - Wild Thing / Wild Thing

Description
Punk rock has always had room for a little mischief. On this 1980 release, The Skids take on “Wild Thing,” a title with a long life in rock’s playful, unruly side. The song appears on both sides of this US 7-inch, with Venture Records and catalog number V-120 marking the edition. New wave and punk often made directness part of the appeal: a sharp idea, delivered without fuss, could feel like a small act of rebellion. Here, the familiar title links The Skids to that spirit of rock’s restless reinvention, where even a well-worn phrase can invite another turn.
