The Staple Singers - If You're Ready (Come Go With Me) / If You're Ready (Come Go With Me)

Description
Stax Records’ 1973 single brings The Staple Singers to the heart of soul’s welcoming tradition: music that can turn an invitation into a shared feeling. “If You’re Ready (Come Go With Me)” is the song on both sides, its title offering a simple, open-armed call to come along. Funk and smooth soul meet in a style rooted in the expressive warmth of gospel, where voices and groove make togetherness feel close at hand. Issued in the United States as STA-0179, this release carries that invitation beyond the moment of its recording. The song’s enduring idea is beautifully plain: readiness begins with choosing to join in.
