The Strikers - Inch By Inch / Inch By Inch

Description
“Inch By Inch” pairs with “Inch By Inch” on this 1981 single by The Strikers, turning a repeated title into the release’s defining detail. Its boogie and disco context points to a dance tradition built on steady momentum, where funk’s rhythmic pull meets the sleek, social energy of the floor. Issued in the USA on Prelude Records as PRL 8033 AS, the 7-inch belongs to a period when concise singles carried dance music directly into everyday listening. The duplicated title leaves a small, intriguing question in its wake: sometimes a song’s name is enough to make a familiar groove feel newly open-ended.
