The Stylistics / The Stylistics Featuring Russell Thompkins, Jr. - Ebony Eyes / Betcha By Golly, Wow

Description
Sweet soul has a way of making tenderness feel beautifully direct. The Stylistics bring that Philadelphia soul sensibility to “Ebony Eyes,” while “Betcha By Golly, Wow” is credited to The Stylistics Featuring Russell Thompkins, Jr. The group’s name links the two sides, but each title stands on its own in this pairing, issued by Avco as AV-4591. Soul ballads thrive on emotional clarity: an intimate sentiment, shaped into a melody that can linger long after the moment has passed. That tradition is at the heart of this single’s appeal, with the titles themselves pointing toward romance as a subject worthy of a song.
