The Stylistics - You'll Never Get To Heaven (If You Break My Heart) / If You Don't Watch Out

Description
The Stylistics bring a tender sense of purpose to “You'll Never Get To Heaven (If You Break My Heart),” a 1972 soul single whose title turns devotion into a promise with a little ache beneath it. Soul has always made room for that kind of emotional balance: sweetness and vulnerability sharing the same breath, with a melody carrying the feeling straight to the listener. The group’s name sits naturally beside that tradition, and Avco issued the record as AV-4618. On the flip, “If You Don’t Watch Out” adds another chapter to the conversation, reminding us that in soul, love can ask for trust and a little care in return.
