The Temptations - Take A Look Around / Smooth Sailing (From Now On)

Description
From 1971, this Gordy 7-inch single brings The Temptations together on two titles: “Take A Look Around” and “Smooth Sailing (From Now On).” The group’s soul sits in a rich tradition where a song can carry both polish and feeling, while funk’s supple pulse gives the music room to move. Here, the titles themselves suggest a thoughtful pairing: one invites attention, the other hints at a fresh course, without needing to tell the listener what to hear. Issued in the USA as Gordy G 7115F, it offers a small, focused entry into the enduring conversation between soul and funk.
