The Temptations - Take A Look Around / Smooth Sailing (From Now On)

Description
“Take A Look Around” and “Smooth Sailing (From Now On)” make an inviting pair on this 1971 single by The Temptations, bringing two sides of soul’s enduring appeal together. Soul thrives on the balance between a strong vocal presence and the musical conversation around it: a tradition built for both emotional directness and rhythmic lift. Here, that heritage meets the group’s name on a release issued by Gordy as G 7115F. The pairing gives the record its own small arc, from a call to look outward to a phrase that suggests forward motion. It’s a reminder that soul can turn a simple contrast into a lasting connection.
