The Three Degrees - I Turn To You / Trade Winds

Description
“I Turn To You” and “Trade Winds” bring two song titles together on a 7-inch single by The Three Degrees, with Philadelphia soul’s graceful blend of pop and R&B as its musical backdrop. The group’s name sits naturally in a tradition where polished vocal pop meets the warmth and emotional directness of soul balladry. Released on Roulette as R-7117, this USA pressing carries that pairing into a compact, focused format. The titles invite a small contrast in the mind, but the record itself leaves their meanings to the songs. Philadelphia soul’s lasting appeal lies in how elegantly it can bring a pop melody and soul feeling into the same room.
