The Vogues - Humpty Dumpty / Magic Town

Description
There’s a bright pop-rock charm to the way The Vogues bring familiar phrases into a song. Their 7-inch single pairs “Humpty Dumpty” with “Magic Town,” titles that hint at a playful corner of pop without giving away the tunes themselves. Pop rock has always had room for a little theatricality, while soul adds a sense of lift and warmth; that meeting gives this release its inviting context. Issued by Candy Ce Records as C-234, it belongs to the tradition of concise singles built around memorable songs. The Vogues are the thread connecting these two titles, turning a simple pairing into a small pop encounter.
