Theo Vaness - I Can't Dance Without You / Thank God There's Music

Description
Prelude Records’ 1979 US single PRL 8006 brings Theo Vaness to the dance floor with “I Can't Dance Without You” and “Thank God There's Music.” Disco turns the pull of funk and soul into music built for movement, pairing a steady pulse with the lift of a strong vocal and a groove that keeps the night going. These titles put dancing and music itself at the heart of the occasion, a fitting invitation from an era when the single could carry a whole evening’s energy. Vaness is the name at the center here, with both songs gathered on a sharp-edged slice of late-seventies disco.
