Thp Orchestra - Crazy, Crazy / Black Orpheus (Manha De Carnival)

Description
This 1978 US 7-inch single pairs “Crazy, Crazy” with “Black Orpheus (Manha De Carnival),” bringing two distinct titles together under the Thp Orchestra name. Disco and funk meet the wider soul tradition here: music built for movement, with rhythmic drive at its heart and room for familiar melodies to find new life. “Black Orpheus (Manha De Carnival)” carries a title linked to a well-traveled song, while “Crazy, Crazy” gives the release its own crisp, direct counterpoint. Issued by Butterfly Records as CM 1204, this single belongs to a moment when dance music kept absorbing and reshaping older musical threads.
