Tina Rainford - Silver Bird / Silver Bird

Description
A song can take flight twice over, and Tina Rainford’s “Silver Bird” occupies both sides of this 1976 German single. The title’s return gives the record a neat, memorable shape, while its country and disco styling points toward a moment when country songwriting could meet pop’s dance-minded polish. That meeting is part of the pleasure of the broader tradition: familiar songcraft need not stay in one lane, and a country tune can travel through a pop setting without losing its identity. Issued by Epic as 8-50340, the single keeps its focus on one song, giving “Silver Bird” room to make its own journey.
