Tom Scott - Come Back To Me / Come Back To Me

Description
Atlantic’s 1983 recording brings Tom Scott to a meeting point between jazz-funk and the smoother side of jazz. “Come Back To Me” appears on both sides of this US 7-inch single, giving the title a steady presence without asking it to carry a story beyond the music. Scott is a saxophonist, and that instrument’s long place in jazz—from conversational lead voice to a source of soulful warmth—makes this blend feel rooted in a rich tradition. With its concise format, the single keeps the focus close on one composition and its return. Atlantic 7-89763 is a small, direct entry into Scott’s jazz-funk world.
