Tommy Facenda - High School, U.S.A. (National Version) / High School, U.S.A. (Los Angeles Version)

Description
Two versions of one song sit side by side here: Tommy Facenda’s “High School, U.S.A. (National Version)” and “High School, U.S.A. (Los Angeles Version).” Their pairing turns a familiar rock & roll subject into a small study in how a song can travel and take on a local identity, while keeping the focus on the title itself. Facenda is a rock & roll singer, and this 7-inch single gives both versions room to stand as distinct entries in the same musical story. Released by Legrand Records as 70487, it connects the directness of early rock & roll with the enduring pull of songs about school days.
