Tony Bennett - Cold, Cold Heart / Because Of You

Description
“Cold, Cold Heart” and “Because Of You” bring two distinct strains of popular song together: the country-rooted ache of one and the polished romantic balladry of the other. Tony Bennett gives both titles a place in the vocal-pop tradition, where a singer’s phrasing can make a familiar melody feel intimate and direct. Issued as a 7-inch single by Columbia, catalog number 4-50009, this USA pressing pairs the songs in a compact, revealing exchange. Their contrast is part of the appeal: heartache and devotion sit side by side, showing how gracefully a strong song can travel between musical worlds.
