Tricia Johns - Cathy's Clown / Cathy's Clown

Description
“Cathy's Clown” opens the door and, on the reverse, returns for another turn: Tricia Johns’s 1981 single gives the same song the whole spotlight. In country ballads, a repeated refrain can feel like an old story being told again, each pass bringing its hurt a little closer; country pop gives that tradition a concise, polished shape. This 7-inch release pairs that familiar storytelling spirit with the directness of a single. Issued by Elektra as E-47172, it belongs to a tradition where heartbreak is made plain, memorable and easy to carry with you. Here, one title is enough to hold both sides together.
