Troy - Back To The Wall / Back To The Wall

Description
Glam rock loved its larger-than-life gestures; new wave, arriving in the same restless era, brought a sharper edge to pop’s sense of possibility. Troy’s “Back To The Wall” sits at that crossroads, with its title appearing on both sides of this 1979 U.S. single. The repeated name gives the release a neat symmetry, while the meeting of glam and new wave places it in a moment when rock was finding fresh ways to look and move forward. Issued by Venture Records as V-128, it preserves that shared moment in a compact form: one title, presented twice, from a period of stylistic change.
