Typically Tropical - Sandy / Barbados

Description
Typically Tropical bring a bright pop-rock sensibility to a pair of titles that invite a little daydreaming without needing to tell you what to imagine. “Sandy” leads the way, while “Barbados” turns the other side toward a name with a life of its own. In the mid-1970s, pop-rock could balance direct, catchy songwriting with the easy movement of rock; this 1975 single finds its place in that lively tradition. Issued in the United Kingdom on Gull, catalog number GULS.14, it keeps the focus on two concise titles and the contrast between them. “Sandy” and “Barbados” make a neat pairing from a moment when pop loved a memorable name.
