Tyrone Davis - You Wouldn't Believe / There It Is

Description
Dakar’s 1973 single pairs “You Wouldn't Believe” with “There It Is,” two titles that give this Tyrone Davis release its own easy-to-remember shape. The label and catalog number, Dakar DK 4523, place this 7-inch in the lively world of American funk and soul, where a strong groove and a memorable song could carry feeling as much as words. Davis brings the record’s two sides together under his name, while the contrasting titles invite a little curiosity about what each holds. Funk and soul thrive on that meeting of rhythmic drive and human expression; here, the songs themselves are the starting point.
