Van Mccoy - Good Night, Baby / Change With The Times

Description
Van Mccoy opens this 1975 single with “Good Night, Baby,” then turns to “Change With The Times,” a title that feels like an invitation to keep moving forward. Mccoy was a songwriter and producer, and that craft sits naturally within the record’s meeting of soul and disco: music shaped for the pulse of the dance floor, yet rooted in soul’s expressive melodic tradition. Released by Avco as AV-4660, the single belongs to a moment when disco was drawing on older dance styles and giving them a fresh, streamlined energy. These two titles place Mccoy’s songwriting at the heart of that evolving sound.
