Vern Gosdin - Right In The Wrong Direction / Right In The Wrong Direction

Description
Country ballads often turn on a plainspoken contradiction: the heart can know exactly where it is headed and still be heading the wrong way. Vern Gosdin brings that tension to “Right In The Wrong Direction,” a title that feels made for the tradition’s patient storytelling and hard-earned emotional truths. The song appears on both sides of this 1989 single, giving its central phrase room to linger without needing any invented plot around it. Issued by Columbia as 38 73221, the record belongs to the enduring country-ballad craft of making complicated feelings sound direct. Gosdin’s contribution is a memorable reminder that wrong turns can make compelling songs.
