Victor Buono - Fat Man’S Prayer / Bless Me Doctor

Description
Victor Buono turns “Fat Man’S Prayer” into a comic address to the heavens, finding humor in the grand seriousness of a prayer. Comedy has long made room for spoken performance, where timing, voice and a well-shaped phrase can carry a joke as surely as a tune. Buono’s record belongs to that playful tradition, inviting the listener to enjoy the character and the delivery as much as the words. The flip side, “Bless Me Doctor,” keeps the comic exchange going with another title that promises a different kind of appeal to authority. Released by Doré as catalog 864, this United States single puts spoken comedy at the center of the record.
