Voyage - Latin Odyssey / From East To West

Description
Voyage opens “Latin Odyssey” with a title that points toward a wide musical horizon, where disco’s steady pulse meets the rhythmic richness of Latin traditions. The late-’70s dance floor was a place for such crossings: funk and soul gave disco its warmth and momentum, while musicians drew on sounds from beyond the club’s familiar borders. On Marlin 3322, the journey turns with “From East To West,” a title that broadens the record’s sense of movement without pinning it to one destination. Voyage keeps the focus on music in motion, and that openness remains part of disco’s enduring appeal.
