War - Slowly We Walk Together / L.A. Sunshine

Description
“Slowly We Walk Together” opens a path into the warm, communal side of War, while “L.A. Sunshine” brings the title’s city into view. This 1977 release sits where funk and soul meet disco’s steady pulse and the freer turns of jazz-funk—a tradition built on groove, movement and room for musicians to stretch. War’s music belongs to that wide, generous conversation, where dance-floor momentum can share space with soul-jazz color. Issued on Blue Note as BN-XW1009, this U.S. pressing joins two titles that offer distinct ways into the group’s blend of rhythmic drive and open-ended spirit. The groove is the thread connecting them.
