Ward 21 / Andre Gray - Game / Version: Kashmir

Description
This Jamaican 7-inch pairs Ward 21’s “Game” with Andre Gray’s “Version: Kashmir,” bringing two named sides together in the concise, direct format that has long helped reggae travel from sound systems into everyday life. Dancehall thrives on the energy of a shared rhythm and the personalities who take it in different directions; here, the title “Version: Kashmir” makes the connection between the two sides explicit without needing any extra ornament. Issued on Mentally D/S-Ed!, the single keeps its focus on the exchange between Ward 21 and Andre Gray. It’s a small record with a familiar dancehall principle at its heart: one rhythm can invite more than one voice.
