Wet Willie - Keep On Smilin' / Keep On Smilin’

Description
Southern rock has always had room for a little grit and a generous dose of groove, and Wet Willie bring that spirit to this 1974 single. “Keep On Smilin'” leads the way, while “Keep On Smilin’” appears on the flip—two spellings for a title that keeps its place at the heart of the record. The band’s blues-rock roots meet the easy, rolling pulse of boogie, with soul close by in the broader tradition. Issued by Capricorn Records as CPR 0043, this American pressing belongs to a time when Southern rock could sound both earthy and open-hearted, finding resilience in a song’s simple invitation to keep smiling.
