White Cloud - The Sun Don't Shine The Same / All Cried Out

Description
“The Sun Don't Shine The Same” sets the scene for White Cloud’s 1972 single, with “All Cried Out” carrying the other side of this country-rock release. Country rock grew from the meeting of rock’s electric drive and country music’s storytelling traditions; folk rock and psychedelic rock widened that conversation, bringing in other ways to shape a song. White Cloud’s record sits within that broad, adventurous mix, where familiar roots could open onto less predictable territory. Issued by Good Medicine Records as catalog number 17001, the single belongs to a moment when rock musicians were finding fresh possibilities in older American forms.
