Willie Nelson - The Maker (Radio Edit) / I Never Cared For You

Description
Willie Nelson brings “The Maker (Radio Edit)” into the open with the plainspoken warmth of a songwriter who knows how much a song can carry. Country music has always made room for that kind of directness: a clear voice, a memorable line, and space for listeners to find their own meaning. Nelson’s long association with country songwriting gives this release a natural home in that tradition. The flip side, “I Never Cared For You,” turns to another of his own songs, pairing the two titles on Island, catalog number 314-572 414-7. Together they show a songwriter’s gift for making a song feel personal without making it small.
