Wilson Pickett - Two Women And A Wife / Take A Closer Look At The Woman You're With

Description
Soul with a little grit in its step—Wilson Pickett makes a natural guide through the style’s deep, expressive roots. Soul grew from gospel’s fervor and rhythm and blues, carrying that emotional directness into songs built for both the voice and the groove. Here, “Two Women And A Wife” shares the record with “Take A Closer Look At The Woman You're With,” two titles that place relationships at the heart of the set without giving away their stories. This 1973 USA pressing pairs Pickett with Rca Victor, catalog APB0-0049. The lasting pull of soul lies in how plainly it lets a singer put feeling into a song.
