Wings - Daytime Nighttime Suffering / Goodnight Tonight

Description
Wings bring a lively turn to “Daytime Nighttime Suffering,” pairing pop-rock songcraft with the dance-minded pulse that ran through late-70s disco and pop. The track sits in a moment when records could move between the dance floor and the radio without giving up a strong melody. Turn it over for “Goodnight Tonight,” where reggae-pop touches add another shade to the mix. Released in 1979 on Columbia, catalog number 3-10939, this United States pressing captures Wings working across styles while keeping the songs at the center. The pairing makes a neat case for pop’s knack for borrowing rhythms and making them feel at home.
