Woody Guthrie's / Woody Guthrie's Narrated By Jess Pearson - We Ain't Down Yet / We Ain't Down Yet

Description
“We Ain't Down Yet” appears on both sides, first credited to Woody Guthrie's and then to Woody Guthrie's Narrated By Jess Pearson—a pairing that puts the song’s title and its spoken-word framing in conversation. Guthrie was a folk singer-songwriter, and political folk has long made room for songs that carry ordinary people’s struggles into public view. This 1976 United States 7-inch single brings that tradition into a compact, direct encounter, with the narration credit making the second version’s distinction clear without changing the shared title. Issued by Cream Records as CR-7609, it connects a folk song’s plainspoken resilience with the storytelling impulse at the heart of the tradition.
