Z.Z. Hill - You Better Take Time / It Can Be Fixed

Description
Z.Z. Hill puts “You Better Take Time” at the heart of this Mhr Records single, MH 224, where the blues tradition’s plainspoken wisdom meets the direct pull of rhythm and blues. Hill is a blues singer, and that grounding gives the title a natural place in a musical lineage built on feeling, candor and stories that need no ornament to land. The other side, “It Can Be Fixed,” turns toward the possibility of repair, bringing a different thought into the conversation without leaving that human terrain. Pressed in the USA, this 7-inch keeps its focus on two concise, evocative titles—and the enduring blues art of making a feeling speak plainly.
